Dan Smalley – Chief Executive Officer
Co-founder of Immersion, Dan has an extensive and varied background helping organizations develop and use information technology to solve business problems. Dan's primary focus is to further develop Immersion's client service delivery practices. He still serves as a Reserve Navy Supply Corps Officer. Dan holds a BS in Economics from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from Golden Gate University. Dan enjoys coaching high school and summer basketball.
Charles Bailey - DHS TABSS/JSF/DTS/Supply Chain
A talented leader and winning team builder with over 20 years of experience in managing successful programs worldwide. A proven track record of strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the noted ability to quickly and accurately develop and implement effective action plans within budget constraints. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Credentials include: Member Acquisition Professional Community, Certified DAWIA Level III Contracting Equivalent, Life Cycle Logistics Level III, and Joint Officer Qualifications. Subject matter expertise in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement & Acquisition, Financial Comptroller/PPBES, Strategic Planning & Governance, Joint Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Crises Action Planning, and, New Business Development. Chuck's educational background includes: Master of Strategic Studies, U.S. Army War College, Master of Science, Management/Life Cycle Logistics U.S. Naval Post Graduate School, Bachelor of Science, U.S. Naval Academy, and Advanced Management Executive Leadership Program, UNC Kennan-Flagler.
Greg Barber – Financial Management Services
Greg joined the Immersion team in 2009 after 37 years of federal service with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management & Comptroller) Office of Budget. Greg is well known throughout the DoD FM community for his significant role in streamlining the Planning, Programming and Budgeting System (PPBS) into the Planning, Programming and Budgeting Execution (PPBE) system in use today. Additionally, Greg played a key role in early CFO initiatives for the Department of the Navy. His extensive financial management background forms the anchor of our expanding Financial Management practice area. Outside the office, Greg is a bass player in a classic rock band.
Phil Magrogan - Innovation Strategy
As a plank owner with Immersion, Phil has lead businesses and organizations to integrate ERP's, financial processes and IT systems by pairing common sense change management techniques with clean technical solutions. Phil has distinguished himself during his career achieving results for problems deemed "too hard to fix." His focus within Immersion is to integrate and advance the capability and solution offerings within the firm. Phil holds a BS in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech where he graduated as a Cadet.
Martin Rajk - Financial & Program Management Services
Marty is an innovative and collaborative executive with almost 40 years of program and financial management experience in leadership positions in the government and commercial sectors. He retired from federal service as the Deputy Assistant Commandant for Resources and Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the United States Coast Guard which operates in the Department of Homeland Security. His leadership was critical to recent success in achieving audit-ability of the agency's financial statements and with transforming systems, practices and functional responsibilities. He previously served in senior executive level appointments at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Transportation Security Administration, the Department of Commerce, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Resolution Trust Corporation. Mr. Rajk is a former USCG Officer and a graduate of the U. S. Coast Guard Academy. He obtained his MBA from The George Washington University and has studied at both the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Robert Barnett - DTS/Travel Systems
Robert has been with Immersion Consulting since 2006. He has over 35 years of Financial Management and DoD systems experience and 16 years of experience in DTS/CBA/IBA GTCC. He has been Senior Fielder and Instructor for Implementation and Fielding of DTS at 101 major military locations and has been the Lead Instructor for over 2,000 DTS classes. Robert has authored the first DoN Deck Plate Program Management and Sustainment Guide and the first program management approach to DTS/CBA/IBA GTCC. In addition, Robert has been recognized as the PM for five Top DoD Program Management and Improvement Awards.
John O. King - Financial Management Systems
After spending 30 years working as a senior budget analyst and supervisor managing $60 billion on research and development; procurement; construction and housing; operation and maintenance; contingency operations, disaster and humanitarian assistance and war budgets; at both the Secretary of the Navy and Secretary of Defense senior comptroller staff levels, John is now Immersion's expert for Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) training. A long-time practitioner, he has taken that experience and created higher value-added PPBE training for the novice, mid-grade analyst, manager, and executive needing both a primer on the processes and analytic techniques, interwoven with today's major problems and critical issues. John has a BA in Economics from California State University, Long Beach and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. John also serves on the President's National Commission of Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (Simpson-Bowles), writes op-eds for Defense News on hot topics.
